When is the event? 📅 July 25, 2026 Where is the event located? 📍 100 Top Lane, Piedmont, SC 29673 How much is admission? 🎟️ $10 per adult at the gate Admission tickets will be available for purchase upon arrival. What time does the event start? * Team Setup: 11:00 AM * Gates Open: 4:00 PM * Official Judging Begins: 6:00 PM How much does it cost to enter a team? 💰 Team Registration is $125 per team Registration fees are non-refundable. ⸻ How do I register my team? Register online at: 🌐 www.kaysocosmic.com ⸻ How many team members are allowed? Each team may have up to 3 team members. ⸻ What are teams required to prepare? Teams must prepare: 🍖 1 Main Protein * Must be cooked on a grill, smoker, or deep fryer 🥘 2 Side Dishes Can side dishes be prepared ahead of time? Yes. Side dishes may be prepared in advance and cooked using traditional cooking methods. Only the competition protein must be cooked on-site using a grill, smoker, or deep fryer. ⸻ Will teams provide food for judging? Yes. Teams must prepare tasting plates for the official judges. ⸻ Can teams sell food? Yes! Teams are encouraged to sell full-size plates to attendees throughout the event and keep their proceeds. ⸻ How does People’s Choice work? Each team will be provided with the same cut of chicken to prepare for public tasting. Attendees will sample the chicken and vote for their favorite team. The team with the most votes will be crowned the People’s Choice Champion. ⸻ What are the prizes? 🏆 Grand Champion (Judges’ Favorite) 💰 $2500 Cash Prize 🏆 People’s Choice Champion 💰 $1000 Cash Prize ⸻ Who are the official judges? 🍴 @we_forked_up 🍴 @ajslambino 🍴 @hungryfriendyates 🍴 @foodie_que ⸻ Who is the official DJ? 🎧 DJ Carolina Shad ⸻ Will teams be provided with meat? No. Teams should plan to bring any generators or equipment needed for their setup. ⸻ Are tents allowed? Yes. Teams are encouraged to bring tents, tables, signage, and decorations to represent their team. ⸻ What happens if it rains? The Cook-Out Cookoff is a rain-or-shine event unless severe weather creates unsafe conditions. ⸻ Are sponsorship opportunities available? Yes!
